This collection is inspired by the Trout and Salmon fishing plates of early Irish folklore. The river Moy and the nearby lakes were an abundant source of numerous varieties of fish. This led to an explosion of culture and creativity, giving birth to the traditional fish plate of Pontoon. A specimen of this pottery can be viewed at the National Gallery Museum in Collins Barracks, Dublin. These highly sought after plates featured slipped trailed and hand engraved designs
